Healthcare Facilities and Medical wiring

The HighlightsChicago team is well versed in the building code mandating Health Care Facilities. We understand how critically important is the integrity of the entire system. Hospitals, depending on the treatment they provide, are generally required to maintain a minimum of two independent sources of power: a normal source and final reserve. In case that a hospital provides surgical or critical care treatment, an additional source of power is mandated: an auxiliary source. It is of the utmost importance that the alternate source of power is independent and separate from the normal source. In case of a failure of the normal source of power the alternate source of power must be automatically connected to the load within 10 seconds and must have a capacity to sustain connected loads for a minimum of 2 hours.

The Highlights Chicago team acquired extensive experience in working with x-ray equipment, automatic power transfer switches, emergency power distribution, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems and security systems. Our team of knowledgeable professionals can assist with electrical design of a new facility or renovation of an existing structure. We understand the intricacies of the systems deployed in healthcare facilities and take utmost care when ensuring the safety of patients and staff alike.
